Aspire is a striking sculpture that embodies the spirit and potential of the youth of Watlington. This piece features a winged teenager symbolising the vibrant energy of the younger generation, complemented by the majestic wings of a red kite representing the wider community of the town.
Inspired by a program run by the local school The Icknield Community College, this bronze sculpture aims to highlight the importance of the involvement of the local community in the education of some of its young people who do not naturally fit in to the traditional education system.
Innovative approaches to education, that empower young minds to thrive beyond traditional settings requires the support of the local community.
